올해 AACR에서 발표된 구글의 병리 딥러닝 발표 중에서 유방암에 관련된 내용이 AJSP에 논문으로 발표 되었다. 컴퓨터 보조 시스템이 sentinel LN의 ITC나 micrometastasis 발견에 용이할 것이라는 건 이런 논문을 통하지 않고서도 충분히 예상 가능한 부분이다. 다만, 조금 더 현실적인 측면에서 바라보면 병리 의사는 스캔 이미지를 분석하는 것이 아니라, slide holder에 슬라이드를 올려놓고 x10 대물렌즈를 이용한 결과를 분석한 것이 더 좋지 않았을 까 싶다. 스캔 이미지 파일을 뷰어로 보는 것은 현미경에서 직접 보는 것보다 같은 배율이더라도 굉장히 불편하다.
