    Embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma 의 spindle cell variant 는 다음과 같은 특성이 있음.

    어린 남자아이에서 흔함

    사타구니, 머리, 목에서서 흔함.

    spindle cell 로 구성됨

    연부조직 종양이라는게 드문 편인데, 그 중에서 아이들은 더 드물어서

    이런 종류의 종양이 있다는 것을 기억하는 것이 필요함.


    이 종양의 존재를 모르면

    spindle cell tumor 의 감별 진단에서 가능성을 생각조차 못할 수 있음.

    통상적인 spindle cell tumor 감별을 위한 IHC panel에서

    skeletal muscle 의 분화를 확인하는 MyoD1 이나 Myogenin 은

    빠지는 경우가 종종 있음.

    RMS에서 이 variant 는 어린이의 경우 예후가 좋으며, 어른은 아님

    Calretinin 염색을 통하여 nerve twig 을 존재 여부를 확인할 수 있고,

    follow up 을 통하여 확인하여 보았을 때 correlation 이 된다고 함.

    저건 확실이 H&E로는 감별 할 수 없는 크기이네..

    병리과/영상의학과/내과/외과 사이의 이해도에서

    차이가 발생할 수 있음.

    모두 다 흔하게 사용한다는 점에서

    문제를 인식할 필요가 있음.
