우선 wild type RB1를 가진 retinoblastoma 의 비율은 약 2.&% 정도라고 함.

가끔씩 안구 적출을 받는 귀여운 아이들이 생각나서… 이 논문의 표만 읽어 보았음.

ERCC1 Isoform Expression and DNA Repair in Non–Small-Cell Lung Cancer

도저히 귀찮아서 본문까지는 읽어보지는 않았지만 초록까지만 봤을 때에는 상당히 병리쪽에 가까운 논문이 NEJM에 실린 것 같다. 수 많은 ERCC1 에 대한 면역화학검사를 시행하고 판독한 것에 대하여 그 자체만으로도 존경할만한 가치가 있을 것이다. 😉

초록 내용에 의하면

1. ERCC1 의 isotype 중 하나만이 제대로 된 능력을 갖추고 있는데 ,

2. ERCC1에 대하여 시판되는 16개의 항체를 대상으로 FFPE에서 면역화학검사를 시행하여 보았는데, isotype 의 감별에 도움을 줄 수 있는 것은 없었으며,

3. 따라서 ERCC1 의 기능을 감별할 수 있는 다른 검사법이 필요하다는 것이다.

도서관에서 우연히 발견한 Enzinger 모음집. 5판마저 있었으면 좋았을텐데 하는 아쉬움이 있었음.

바꿔 말하면 늘 최신의 책을 유지하고 있지는 않다는거..
