There’s a story in the Eastern writings of a master and
his disciple. They were bathing in the Ganges and the
disciple asked: “Master, how can I know the Truth?” And
the teacher took him by the hair and held him under the
water until he was about ready to go unconscious, and
then he let him up and said, “Now, when you want Truth
as much as you wanted air, then you’ll have it.”
