    전시회 방문

    부산에서 아시던 분이 서울의 한 갤러리에서 초대전을 한다고 하여 가보았다. 이번 전시회의 주제는 꽃, 그 중에서도 빨간 꽃이었다.

    많은 종양, 그 중에서도 연부 조직 종양은 fusion protein 이 알려져 있는 것이 꽤 된다. 따라서 fusion protein 이 있을 것을 간접적으로 확인할 수 있는 breakapart probe FISH 를 사용해서 진단에 도움을 줄 수가 있다. fusion protein 에 의한 mRNA 를 확인하는 것이 제일 좋을 것 같지만, mRNA도 RNA 이니만큼 포르말린에 의한 손상도 있고, 여러 군데에서 일어나기 때문에 하나의 primer 로는 찾을 수 없을 수도 있다.

    대표주자는 EWSR1(Ewing sarcoma breakpoint region 1)이다. 이와 관련된 종양은 다음 정도가 알려져 있다.

    Desmoplastic small round cell tumor
    Ewing sarcoma/pPNET/Ewing family tumors
    Extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcoma
    Myxoid/round cell liposarcoma

    꼭 외울 필요는 없을 것 같은 것. (내 기준임)
    Angiomatoid fibrous histiocytoma
    Myoepithelial tumor of soft tissue
